The GAA announced today that Martin McNally will ref the All-Ireland final on Sunday week. It’ll the Monaghan official’s first time to take charge of a Sam Maguire decider but he has experience of officiating at All-Ireland final level, taking charge of the U20 football final in 2023 as well as the senior club final earlier this year.
Mayo have seen a bit of the Corduff clubman this year. During the National League, we had him for the game against Dublin back in February and he also took charge of our match against Kerry in Tralee in March. In this year’s championship he was on the whistle for our All-Ireland quarter-final against Cork.
The line umpires for the final will be Tyrone’s Seán Hurson and Thomas Murphy of Galway. The Tyrone ref will also be the standby referee, while the Sideline Official will be Seán Lonergan from Tipperary. Killian Jones of Kildare will be the Hawkeye Official and Marty Duffy from Sligo will be the Time Official.

He's a good referee. Let's the game flow and is fair with his decisions both ways.
Hopefully Kerry don't get the kind of decisions they got against Dublin and Tyrone.

I honestly first heard of Line Umpires watching the match back since Saturday. I just thought it was that tool Ger Canning on commentary.

Hope he keeps an eye on Clifford using his elbow to push off players, a striking even with elbow is a red card.

I like this ref even though I didn’t for mayo Tyrone in league last year as he constantly had the hand/finger up interrupting the flow but he had greatly improved since then. I think GAA should appoint umpires and linemen at this level. For quarters to final.
