We’ve two football matches on this coming Bank Holiday weekend, with the men’s and women’s county football teams in action. The hurlers – whose opening round NHL game last weekend fell victim to Storm Éowyn – don’t get going until the weekend after next.

The men are in action first this coming weekend. Their Allianz National League Round 2 match against Galway takes place at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park on Sunday. Due to storm damage to the floodlights at the ground the throw-in time for the game has been pulled forward to 2.30pm. The ticket link for the game is here.

The county’s LGFA Lidl National League Round 2 match against Meath is on the Bank Holiday Monday. The venue for this game is Páirc Tailteann in Navan where throw-in is 2pm. The game is live on TG4 and the ticket link for it is here.
