Tomorrow’s a big day in the GAA calendar for ourselves and the neighbours as we face each other down once again in a Connacht final.
It’s a big day at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park too, with the venue playing host to a first Nestor Cup decider involving Mayo since way back in 2014.
This is just a reminder that we’re holding a Mayo Football Podcast Up for the Match live event in An Sportlann before the big game tomorrow. We’re getting underway there at 2pm in the company of special guests Colm Boyle, John Maughan and Barry Cullinane.
This live event is being held in association with our podcast partners EBS and with the support of Castlebar Mitchels. It’s free entry to An Sportlann for the event and no tickets are required.

I wonder will Durcan start tomorrow?

Good to see Durcan back on panel, but high risk starting him. Boland has a cool head, so both coming on at some stage should be an advantage. I expect if we lose, the management will put a spin on it that the players weren't up to it. I hope the cut loose tomorrow and play the new rules game. At least they will have given it their best shot.
Both groups are tough, win or lose, but it's what Mayo need
Oisín Mullin outstanding for Geelong Cats today in a thriller (90 - 87 win over Collingwood). We can't afford to lose any more stars.

Every Mayo supporter needs to bring the colour and bring the noise to mchale park tomorrow throats needs to be gargled tonight to be in full voice tomorrow. I think Mayo will it. The mayo supporters have a big part to play especially if things are not going well for a period of the game.

Looks like stand has finally sold out anyway, so be decent crowd.
Handicap betting now just +2, bookies only see a kick of a ball in it.

Ignore the bookies. It's 15 Mayo men against 15 Galway guys and may the best team win so long as it's Mayo. I think we'll edge a close contest.

OSullivan....I understand your point but Oisin is a young man and may yet have an impact in Mayo football

Yes Moyside, let them go out with a cold fury in their hearts and a raw determination that they're going to win all the 50:50 balls near them and that they'll scrap to the final whistle. No hot blooded, poor discipline wanted today, we'll need all 15 on the field til the end. Today is the day for leaders like Aido, Ryan, Jordan, Diarmuid & Mattie to play games of their lives, using their heads and experience to guide us home and making sure that this game goes Mayo's way. Feels like the morning of an AIF from the last decade.

I’d love it if Aidan has a stormer Today. Something inside says he will. What a great servant to Mayo Football almost 35 and perhaps our best player in the Championship so far. It’s a Team game but if we had 15 Aidan O Sheas Mayo would have won Sam Multiple times.
