The football is back with a bang and so too, a little later than planned due to other stuff I had on this morning, are the Monday match reports. This involves a ramble through the online coverage of all three Mayo-related matches that took place up her in the capital over the weekend.
There’s obviously only one place to start and that’s Crossmolina’s emotionally-charged and hugely dramatic All-Ireland Intermediate club final win over Ballinderry at Croke Park. Here’s what’s online about that one:
Locals: Western People, Mayo News, Connaught Telegraph, Midwest Radio, Derry Now.
Nationals: Irish Times, Irish Independent, Irish Examiner, Irish Sun, Irish News.
Others: GAA, RTÉ, BBC, The 42, Balls.ie.
Photos: Sportsfile, Dublin LGFA.
Video: TG4 Sport (full match), Crossmolina GAA (crossing the Shannon, homecoming).
Audio: Our Final Whistle pod from Croke Park yesterday is available as a free show on all platforms, including SoundCloud and YouTube.
Next it’s the men’s Allianz League opener against Dublin under the new playing rules at Croke Park. Here’s what’s available about that one:
Locals: Mayo News, Western People, Connaught Telegraph, Midwest Radio.
Nationals: Irish Examiner, Irish Independent, Irish Times, Irish Mirror, Irish News.
Others: GAA, Dublin GAA, RTÉ, The 42.
Photos: Sportsfile, Inpho.
Video: GAA (match highlights).
Finally, it’s the LGFA Lidl National Football League match against Dublin, which was played at Parnell Park on Saturday afternoon.
Locals: Mayo News, Connaught Telegraph.
Nationals/others: Irish Times, Irish Examiner, Irish Independent, Ladies Gaelic Football.
Photos: Inpho.
Right, that’s your lot for now.

Anyone notice that the 2 great goal chances we had were not shown on RTE lowlights. More interested in talking about Geezer not knowing the rules when the commentators knew them. What a motley crew RTE have in there now. I certainly miss the 3 amigos of Brolly O'Rourke and Spillane and their lack of political correctness
