Westport lost out to a bigger team in poor weather the last two years (Breaffy).
Going by Sundays forecast, they will find themselves up against a bigger team on a bad day on Sunday.

IF Westport win, sure Ballina can only win if Westport arent in the final to beat them. If Ballina win, its Ballina putting an upstart Westport back in their box.

The draw for 2026 Connacht football championship for Thursday November 27th Mayo vs London & Roscommon vs New York in the Connacht Quarter-finals Galway not going overseas this time out but will join Sligo & Leitrim in the open draw system. 1st 2 teams out will meet if Galway vs Leitrim in Carrick-On-Shannon, Galway vs Sligo in Pearse Stadium Galway or Sligo vs Leitrim in Sligo. If Mayo are drawn to play Galway in the Connacht semi-final after to trip after London there could be a difficult Connacht championship in 2026 if there apart could make way for a 3rd year in a row of the teams in the Connacht final.

I dunno lads - and I really don't mean to criticise because these pods are so consistently good and enjoyable - but for a pod that has often talked about needing to be mindful of Kobe's age, it was surprising to hear nearly ten minutes of this episode - about a game in which he is not even involved - spent discussing him. And not just his football, but his future, his education, his family, his travel plans, what ye'd like or wouldn't like him to do. Even his personality.

Yes, he's phenomenal, an absolute a joy to watch - we all appreciate him and are excited about what we might see from him. As much of an all-rounder as he clearly is, he's not a commodity. He's still an underage amateur athlete, a young person who deserves privacy, and i feel he shouldn't have to expect to have his life and future discussed in this level of detail on a football podcast.

I will say though that Aidan Kilcoyne has been a great addition to the pod this year - I've really enjoyed his contributions throughout. Great to hear so many voices this year and such extensive club coverage.

I fully agree with your statement on the debate around Kobe McDonsad. He or anyone else should be protected from having their life disected in this way. Everyone is entitled to privacy, autonomy and to be free from external pressure in making decisions on their own life. I hope the young man gets the guidance support and space he needs to make the best choices for his future and right now that is to be able focus 100% on his leaving cert.
