Not an overly enjoyable game, lot of nerves assume

Would disagree @mayotillidie
A lot too really like about the Mayo performance. Midfield looks very strong for a change and we have some really good players on the transition. Our forward line didn’t click at all but no harm we have plenty of room for improvement.
A really strong looking team, hopefully can go far. Even if we don’t I think we have a plenty of future Mayo seniors in that side.

They did lots of things well but certainly there are areas for improvement. It is hard to judge them on the first game but they could have certainly won this one a lot easier and its hard to know how good / bad Roscommon are. Good to get the win all the same and also great to see the style of play changes from the last few years

I think it's fine to think about the 20 year olds to come in a few of them for which possible after the u20s finishes.
If you have a big game goes to extra time, second half of extra time is one of them maybe our 23rd best player. The 8th sub used.
Like you use every option to get through a quarter or semi final or preliminary quarter final.

Just a nuance, one of the 20 year olds might be close now, but they might be that little bit fitter stronger and more ready by June.
