The first meeting of Ballina Stephenites and Knockmore in a County Senior Final since 2004 has captured the imagination of two great north Mayo clubs.
We start our build-up by hearing from the two camps as Mike chats to Aidan Kilcoyne and Darren McHale from the challengers and Niall Heffernan and Luke Doherty from the champions.
We also round up the main news of the night from last week’s monthly meeting of the County Board.

The Mayo Football Podcast has partnered with EBS — The Mortgage Masters — this season.
EBS are looking to hear from Mayo supporters who are living at home or abroad who might be looking for some mortgage advice.
They have an office in Castlebar where you can arrange an appointment to call in for a chat, or you can find them online by searching for ‘EBS Castlebar’ or by clicking here.

As a neutral I have no affiliation to either club and respect them both immensely. Just hoping for a non controversial final full of good football with all players for both sides fit and available. Mayo football needs a good final and these two sides are so capable of providing that, so hoping the two management teams send them out to go for it. Best wishes to all involved including the matchday officials.
