The Senior and Intermediate Championship action continued this evening as the club season continues to ramp up nicely. There were wins for Westport, Belmullet and Ballaghaderreen in the Senior Championship while at Intermediate level Hollymount/Carramore and Kilmeena came out on top.

Rob was in Westport to see the hosts shake off a sticky challenge from Mayo Gaels and afterwards he spoke with Westport’s Kevin Keane. Over in Castlebar afterwards Rob watched Mitchels slump to a shock six-point loss to Belmullet and after the dust settled there he got post-match thoughts from Belmullet’s manager Kieran Lavelle and main man Ryan O’Donoghue.

John, meanwhile, was keeping tabs on the Intermediate action this evening, starting first in Louisburgh where Hollymount/Carramore ran out six-point winners. John chatted with Holly/Carra’s manager Mark Concannon after the game. He then headed for Kilmeena where the hosts overturned a five-point half-time deficit to run out winners by twelve points and where Kilmeena manager Damien Egan and midfielder Jack Carney provide post-match reflections.
