Interesting selection and I'd agree with a lot but I'd have had McD at 9 ahead of Dempsey who if memory serves me correctly kicked several wides and no one really dominated the midfield sector in Knockmore - if anything Ballintubber seemed to have possession? I'd be interested in seeing the stats from that game.... Tsu???:)

I'd have then gone with one of Deane (kicked some nice scores) or Dylan Flynn (he seemed to cover a serious amount of ground) at 11. Both impressed equally. Cross could have had 6 or 7 selected. Their performance both as a team and individually was streets ahead of the other 7 teams in the QFs.

@Mayonaze

Yeah but you can't just have all Cross players on team of the week. Not saying they weren't great though.

In the Ballina game the weather was poor and it really windy in Ballagh compared to yesterday's weather for the other qualifiers . You have to give credit to Ballina to everyone nearly had them written off including the bookies .

Cross were always going to be to much for Bellmullet it's always tight between Ballagh and Ballina .

Hi Clare, I didn’t say all the Cross players should be on it:) but what I did say is that based on performances, you could have had quite a few more selected.

After Cross, Ballina were the best team for sure. And up until the three quarter mark in Breaffy, I’d have said Breaffy were really impressive too which they were, but it’s a 60+ minute game and the manner of their collapse was hugely disappointing I’m sure for all involved. Many neutrals would have liked to see them get over the line at senior level. That won’t happen now for a long time. 2025 felt a bit like last chance saloon for them.

Only got to watch the Crossmolina/ Belmullet game:
Flynn,Loftus, McDonald and Deane excellent.
Disappointed with Ryan but I feel the will be fine in a county set up.
If we loose some players so be it, next man up is the Kerry motto.
I am fed up of moaning about missing players .
Every county and indeed clubs loose guys for different reasons.
