Well said oilean acla

Half time Mayo 0-11 Roscommon 2-8. Mayo wasteful and the rossies effective in their shooting.

Mayo well on top for most of the half. Too many poor wides towards the end. Never looked like scoring a goal in that half. Roscommon hung in there and got two good goals . Will it be a case of goals win games.

Game not over yet

We missed quite a few wides there .

Fair play to the hurlers they've been really consistent this year and getting better in a football mad county !

Good point from Shane Boland there.

20 mins left Mayo two points behind.

56 mins played 0-17 to 3-12.

A quick 1-2 has Mayo level 58 mins played.

Into added time Mayo leading 1-21 to 3-13

Mayo ahead by 1 point

Tg4 behind few minutes

Totally thrown away.

All over , rossies win

Hard to believe we lost that

Christ lost by 1 point, credit to the rossies though hung in there and were 6/1 to win that game today.

Unbelievable finish, 2 up in injury time with a 50m free to put it out of reach. A wide and concede 3 points from play in 90seconds!! No go to puck out in the last few mins. Roscommon just never gave up.

Wow what a game of hurling brilliant effort by our lads. Definitely left it behind us!
Comhghairdeas to both teams. Hurling is on the up in both counties

Wtf is with Mayo and throwing away finals at all levels and all grades. Are we mentally weak or wtf is it

Never saw such poor decision making. Poor wides knew they would loose playing like headless chickens.

Can this year get any worse..

Sweet merciful roses, another final gone a-begging. Great effort by the lads to get back into it but it was there for the taking and we just didn't have the wherewithal to do it. It must be seriously hard on lads confidence!

Hard luck on the lads, had a few chances there late on to put it to bed but panicked a bit. The Rossies kept their heads and saw it out. A bit harsh from the ref on the over carrying there at the end, didn't think it was. Would be happy if the footballers could get within a point of Tyrone this evening!

Couldn't manage the last quarter. Mayo the better team but it's the scoreboard that counts. Very poor decision making when the game was at their mercy.
It's going to hurt, that defeat...

We always seem to find a way to lose a Final in Croke Park.
Hard again for the Mayo Lads..

Hard luck lads. Jesus Christ There’s something wrong with this county.

It's definetly a psychological thing with us and finals.

Hard luck to the guys that's a Hard one to take .

At this stage I can't remember the last time i read a headline that said...Mayo battle back to win it at the death. It always seems to be the opposite unfortunately.

Disapointed for the hurlers but thank you for your efforts and for keeping hurling alive in the county

True Dave it's not just finals, it's close games we can't finish out

Mayo footballers win in great style. What a performance from all the lads and Paddy D leading from the front. A deserving congrats to management and team. Now for Donegal onwards and upwards. Cmon Mayo
