‘Keeping the Faith’ by MFT’s John Gunnigan is now available in all good bookshops, as well as online from Mayo Books (here). It’s a personal account of his years following Mayo, the development of the Mayo GAA Blog, the transition to MFT and Mayo’s march to the All-Ireland in July this year.
The Mayo launch of the book takes place at the Wild Atlantic Words literary festival in Castlebar on Tuesday 6th October from 8-9pm and the Dublin launch is on Monday 12th October at Books Upstairs on D’Olier Street from 6.30-8pm, with a post-launch gathering afterwards in Bowe’s pub around the corner on Fleet Street.
In this pod John chats with Rob about the book and the plans for the forthcoming launch events. They also provide a heads-up about a competition for a signed copy of the book, which club members will be notified about shortly in the usual way.

I'm very much enjoying your book John, 50 pages in. I've discovered we're the same age, we were both working in the CS in Dublin 2 in the early 80s and we both missed the 1981 AISF v Kerry to instead head for the Boys of Ballisadare Festival !

Lads, you were lucky to miss it,we played against Kerry in the first half and against the wind in the second half.
Loosing Connaught in 75 was a disaster for Mayo
