The final round of group matches were played this afternoon in the Rackard Cup and the outcome of these games is that Mayo will play Roscommon in the final.

Our lads had already booked their place in the final before today’s match at Brewster Park against Fermanagh. This game finished in a 3-16 to 1-22 draw and while this was the first tangible result the Erne County got in this campaign, it didn’t prevent their relegation to Lory Meagher level for next year.

Roscommon, meanwhile, romped to an easy win over Louth today and that secured them the runners-up spot. As a result, the Rackard Cup final will be an all-Connacht affair this year, with ourselves and Roscommon vying for the silverware and, with it, promotion to the Christy Ring Cup in 2026.
