Mayo GAA have now confirmed fixture details for the charity game against Offaly on 21st December. The match, for which all funds raised will go to Mayo GAA’s charity partners, Mayo Cancer Support, will be played at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, with throw-in fixed for 1.30pm that afternoon.
The game, which will be the team’s first appearance with Andy Moran as manager, will also be streamed live by Mayo GAA TV. Match passes cost €12 and are available to purchase here. Tickets for the game will go on sale in the coming days.
Mayo GAA have also confirmed that once this festive fixture is completed there’ll be a Meet and Greet with the players in the concourse at the back of the stand.

A nice initiative in my opinion, quite apart from the obvious charitable benefits. Hopefully it might go some way to dispeling some of the overly secretive, almost paranoid aura that has shrouded the team at times in recent years. That can wait for the week before an All Ireland final! Hopefully the pitch can stand up to it.

Looking forward to this one. Hope that after an inter county year to forget the new management and team can sign off for the year by giving us a few green shoots for optimism.

Are the tickets for the game on Sunday for sale yet or can one pay at the gate?

Jimbo - I was so confident that I'd done a piece on ticketing for the game that I went looking for it so I could point you in its direction but it turns out I completely forgot to do it! I have now, though, so you'll find the ticket link there. There's no pay at the gate for it, that day is gone.
