Friday 22nd August: Breaffy v Castlebar Mitchels (7pm)
Saturday 23rd August: Ardnaree Sarsfields v Ballinrobe (5pm)

Sunday 24th August: Knockmore v Westport (1pm)
Sunday 24th August: Crossmolina Deel Rovers v Ballina Stephenites (3.30pm)
The link for accessing these live streams on Mayo GAA TV is here. Individual match passes cost €12 each, a weekend pass costs €45 but the value buy remains the season pass, which costs €110.
If, instead, you’re planning on getting to some of the weekend’s matches, the link for tickets is here.

Great service but I wish they spread the games around. Some clubs are been shown for the second game in a row. We all have people who can’t attend games for various reasons be that illness, old age or members living abroad. I believe there is a duty to show as many clubs as possible at least once.

yew_tree I get your point.would be good to see as many clubs as possible but 3 teams are being shown for the second time with 2 of those in the 2”marquee games” of the weekend.
Couldn’t really not show breaffy and crossmolina

Breaffy seem to have almost every game televised this past few years for some reason, i doubt any other club gets featured as much, they even seem to get televised more on national tv more than several county teams.
However you couldn't quibble with it this week as their game with Castlebar is close to a 'do or die' game for both with high stakes and likely a big gun casualty in the 1st round
A cracking weekend in store all round, all the draws across all 3 grades in round 1 means almost every game matters, with many fixtures too close to call.

It was one I took myself, West Kerry, over in Louisburgh the weekend before last. That’s the Reek in the background.

Tourmakeady and Balla are two of my favourite picturesque grounds in the county while Achill and Belmullet stand out for their rugged beauty IMHO.

That photo was only one taken with an iPhone, which shows, I guess, why digital cameras are no longer selling as strongly as they once were.
Club grounds are looking their very best at this time of year, thanks mainly to the tireless work of volunteers. We’re lucky to have so many picturesque grounds within the county.
Mind you, West Kerry, it’s hard to beat Fitzgerald Stadium, with the MacGillycuddy Reeks rising majestically in the background. In fact, photos don’t do it justice, it’s an awesome sight in real life.

Great pic above, Id love to see a photo album of most scenic pitches in Ireland particularly those dotted along the west coast. Achill and belmullet are indeed spectacular to look at though not much fun to play on with the sideways rain and gaelforce Atlantic winds, kilcar and downings 2 beauties as well.

I like your style WJ, compliment Kerry from the get go, give them no excuse that they could feel disrespected.
Every bit to help Andy helps.

@MayoMayo
I laughed at that ha.
Glad intercounty is done with for now .
Ballina v Cross is a hard one to call but just think Ballina and Evan Regans form will be to much for Cross .

@willie Joe
For some fun could we run a poll on which club has the nicest backdrop / facilities in the county?
Achill has to be up there for me. I do like the golf course at the back of Balla. Clogher in tubber is cool as it’s surrounded by well maintained hedges.
So many nice grounds and it’s a credit to club members.

Bofeenaun is fabulous as well, bar the bottom corner of pitch which is maintenance chippings :)
But what a view.

MayoMayo - don't compliment Kerry too much either - or they will think we are trying to hype them up too much and they will use it as motivation against us!!

Thank you Green & Red – of course you are right, Clogher is indeed the most scenic, beautiful and best maintained GAA pitch in the County. Cp as regards losing balls on top of the hedging, Jason Gibbons keeps a spare set of his wings locked away in the club house. If you have a friendly word with a Club official I am sure they will allow your Chairman/Treasurer borrow them and retrieve the very odd ball that gets lost on top of the hedge!
