Connacht GAA confirmed today that match tickets for Friday evening’s FBD final between ourselves and the Rossies at the Dome (throw-in 7.30pm) will go on sale online at 1pm tomorrow. As was the case for last weekend’s semi-finals, no concession tickets will be available for this game.
Connacht GAA Secretary John Prenty, speaking with Michael Gallagher in the Mayo News this week (paper and digital variants), said that it was hoped that an attendance of 1,500 will be accommodated in the Dome for Friday’s provincial pre-season decider. 1,100 were at the Roscommon/Sligo semi-final last Friday night, with 1,400 attending our match against Galway the following evening.
For those who miss out on tickets or are otherwise happy to sit this one out, Friday evening’s game will be broadcast live on TG4. We’ll also be recording a Final Whistle podcast episode from the Dome after the game is over and that’ll be available for club members to listen to later that night.

Bit of jumping the gun but understand Cairde doesn't give auto right to tickets outside of final this year - if that's right does anyone know if you can get tickets for Championship opener on GAA Ticketmaster?

@Exile,not sure I understand your question but tickets for all championship matches bar final go on general sale on GAA ticketmaster and that has been the case for the last 4-5 years.

I see it now, St. Colmans beating Jarlaths. Ballinrobe also qualify.

JP - Colman’s beat Jarlaths by 6 points and ballinrobe CS beat St Joseph’s by a massive score.
End result is both mayo sides go though I think to the semi finals.
Not sure who they would be playing though.

Don't know what happened to The Bish but clearly they were not A standard.

Was in Bekan,at colmans v jarlaths.great game in very bad conditions, fair play to both teams, for giving their all.colmans got the goals when they needed them, overall colmans better team ,they have some good honest players which we will see a lot of them in future.

The draw for the semi finals is Colman's v claregalway. Ballinrobe v summerhill.
On today's performance Colman's look to be the team, big, strong, good footballers and extremely hard working. It will take a very good team to beat them. And they were not at full strength today.
Semi finals on Feb 1.

Lads, did anybody here manage to get tickets online for the FBD semi or final?
Just chatting to people today and anybody who got tickets got them through work ie sponsors.
I know of about 10 people, myself included who were online waiting for tickets,it seems to be me there were no tickets actually available online.

Great work going on in underage in South Mayo with them results today hopefully we see more players from South Mayo in the Mayo Senior panel in the years ahead and maybe a South Mayo club team winning a Moclair cup.A South Mayo team hasn't won a Senior County title since Hollymount in 1994.Ballinrobe Community school have seen a massive inprovement in the last decade, they use to operate in the lower B and C grades now all there teams are in the A championships.Credit must go to there teachers and coaches in the local clubs in Ballinrobe, Kilmaine, The Neale, Hollymount and Garrymore.Be great to see an all South Mayo Connacht colleges final now.

@FW i know a few that got tickets but they searched for one ticket, anyone that searched for 2,3 or 4 tickets got none. As expected limited tickets was sold out in a matter of minutes with upwards of 7k wanting to attend.

Great result for Colmans. Will Niall Hurley be back for the semi final?
Catcol says:

Mention of Niall Hurley reminds me: we can take a lot of positives from last year’s minors. The final was bitterly disappointing, but we beat a lot of good teams on the way, and some individuals were outstanding - including Niall Hurley.

@Catcol, Agree with that sentiment. For me the main thing one needs to produce from underage teams are midfielders and forwards. It's where the game is won. The midfielders help tip the balance of possession and the forwards get a high enough scoring return.

not a bad team, pity Touhy from Charlestown didnt get another full game, wonder at playing Loftus at CB again, cant see him holding that position. Is he going to play the likes of Cillian, Aiden and Conroy in first league game without much game time.
Tubberman says:

You mean Towey, Culmore?
Aidan and Cillian played in a game last weekend, don't think Conroy has made an appearance yet so doubt we'll see him against Galway
