Mighty job Willie Joe, looking forward to the weekend .
Ballina will be a little too sharp and less dependent on one player I think . I rate Ballas midfield but 2 irwins, Thornton and Murray too much for any team .
Sam and O Hora are prime man markers and Kuba will get it hot and heavy but yet class of Sam to match him for speed .
Big games in Regan, mcstay and and then throw in Irwins 2 pointers from play and deadball, I think Ballina have been overlooked in the wrong and find likes of Gers comments in the pod lazy , Ballina didn't throw it away v Cross , if ot weren't for mistakes by cross keeper , then Ballina wouldn't been in game at all..but it were a game where Ballina only had Sam and o Hora back from their holidays and looked to go toe to toe with the younger lads and they lost out but that doesn't make them a bad team, because they have many strings to their bow.
Early morning Knockmore isnt fun for anyone and wont be for Tubber , new age Connell Dempsey v Gibbons , plunkett being forced backwards, Darren mchale , Diarmuid, Peter Naughton, Stephen o malley , it's pure class everywhere just the more experienced management of Knockmore will help them shade it
Cross v Belmullett, can probably be sold out few times over , will be great club battle .
Cross haven't went under the radar but are actually getting stronger with Intermediate winning lads returning. Cillian Fergus was on fire in the league and now back from USA, Darragh syrons getting fit , Diarmuid Walsh , Finaun Duffy too .
Just thing there's more depth to Cross and even the ability to keep Conor Loftus free and a free role Loftus is a game changer in any game .
Breaffy v Westport will be a slog but I feel westport can be more economical and all due respect Brick, Keegan , Mcdermott, Mclaughlin , westport can match physically but yet have Dawson, Kilkenny, Lambert who can tag on score whereas Breaffys score board isnt as broad and if Port force Conor O shea to try follow Eoghan Mac, then there's only one winner .

I fail to see how any one can call O Hora and Callinan good man markers.
Not a bit evident in county football.
Both have flattered to deceive.

Luckily it's club football, were talking about JR , remember job they done on mchale and orme last year , two of the better club forwards and mchale a real decent intercounty player

I would love to Callinan develop, perhaps rushed into county scene.
Struggling this year, maybe too much football.
Same thing happened with Brickenden a few years ago but had a good year this year.

Mayo gaa summed up perfectly today at the Kilmeena v Kilmaine game. Finally have a 4th official but he's not miced up to the ref seemingly. Shouting in calling for a clear breach but ignored by the ref. Please tell me thats a technical issue and not the norm.

Both linesmen were micd up so I presume 4th official was too and maybe comms broke?

Lively enough stuff in Breaffy .
5 point lead may not be enough though, when Westport go direct they are dangerous, and Keane is hard handled .

Possibly the most Breaffy result ever this if Westport hold out.

How can breaffy go from been brilliant to the polar opposite and somehow throwing that game away unbelievable

Thought i had wasted money and time when signing up to Breaffy and Westport, who had goalie sent off in the second half. Then Westport got going and Breaffy fell asleep despite dominating middle third and really there was only one winner at the end. Shows that Breaffy have too much baggage from previous years, Westport have some fine players and entertaining to watch in the last 20 minutes or so.

Westport brought the physicality and Breaffy didn't want to know.
15 v 14 and cruising but didn't know how to go about putting it to bed.
Well done to Westport.

I listened to the games on Mid West, great service
Here in Meath minutes the radio station is shared with Louth and so poor coverage.

Poor Breaffy went backwards last year, and further back again this year.
Ballaghaderreen were very poor today, too one dimensional. Ballina as said before still the team to beat, not the most enjoyable brand to watch, but to their credit they are very good at what they do. Thought Ballaghaderreen be able to cope better with them physically around the middle, but I was miles off on that prediction. Not sure any the remaining teams can catch them physically.

Jr want to try Wicklows East Coast fm. Wouldn't even know theres a club championship on. Fair play to midwest great coverage. Covey the cow and Breffy both doing the same thing to benefit Westport in the 1 week.

Watched the 3 matches on MayoGAA TV.
Kilmena best team
How did Breafy loose that match?
Ballina way ahead of Ballagh! They are crafty and will be difficult to beat?
Overall poor quality for all matches- maybe it was the conditions
Not sure if anyone new put their hand up! County players only so so!
Maybe just as well as Andy came on as a sub for his club as it was not available for scouting purposes!
Pk says:

Ballina were dominant and will be hard to beat.
As for the Breaffy Westport game...not the best quality football at times but Breaffy really have to go away and have a good hard look at themselves. I feel as a club they have this superiority complex and dont ask me where it comes from as they have won sweet FA and they cannot walk the walk to match it.

I'd say referees, and umpires will take no chances this weekend on awarding of flags after points scored. It was pretty evident in the Breaffy/Westport this evening when each kick from around the arc was debated before a flag was raised...a common sense approach, take the 20 seconds required, could save a lot of controversy later.
Credit to officials here.

I think a strong case has to be made for Kobe McDonald been called in by Andy Moran for next season, hes the next most talented forward we have after ROD from what I have seen this club campaign and the best outfield player at 45s and for people saying hes doing the leaving.
John O 'Mahony gave Aidan O'Shea his debut in im 2009 when he did the leaving cert.

Spot on Glordatys and it’s become very noticeable the last 12 months or so, how easily his influence is been nullified. Think he’ll need to change it up a bit but I do think he’s capable of doing so .
