Club Championship fixture details confirmed

Club Championship fixture details confirmed

Mayo GAA have now confirmed all the fixtures details for the final round of group matches in the Senior, Intermediate and Junior football Championships. All of these ties will be played the weekend after next, with matches taking place on Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September.

While a small number of clubs already know that they’re either through to the knockout stages or heading for the relegation play-offs, for the majority everything remains on the line as they face into Round 3.

All fixtures in this round are, of course, taking place at neutral venues, bar a couple of ones in Group 1 at Junior level.

If you want to see the list of ties broken down by competition and groups, you’ll find that here. To help you with your planning for the weekend after next, however, I’ve set them out below by competition in the order they’re fixed to be played.

The ties to be shown live on Mayo GAA TV will be confirmed nearer the time. Right, here goes:

If you go to the fixtures and click on the group, three options come up, results, fixtures and tables..it's there for every competition from under 14 up.

For anyone looking (understandably, it's not easy or intuitive. Horrid UX on all counties sites for this, not specifically a Mayo issue) to find tables on the main site (e.g. for a minor or u21 competition where you might not have alternatives):

1. "Fixtures & Results" on the nav menu gives a drop-down
2. "All Competitions" on the drop-down gives a list of all the various comps (https://mayogaa.com/competitions/)
3. Top right "Search Competitions" lets us filter it down
4. Typing something like "Senior" (or "Intermediate" / "Junior") would give a smaller list of competitions to pick from, depending on what we're looking for
5. Click whichever group we were hoping to check. Then click on the "Table" tab to see the current standings

5 gets messy as you'd need to know the Group the team you're looking for are in or else you'd need to open all 4 senior, 4 intermediate or 3 junior to find them. You'd also need to have an idea already it's something like the "Traenlaur Catering Exclusive Junior Championship Group" you're looking for rather than the various other comps with the searched keyword in the name.

Level now between Breaffy and Belmullet! Breaffy need the win, though, in light of the score Mitchels are putting up. They're eight up so that puts them two ahead of Breaffy on PD at the moment.

Moy Davitts 5-10 Louisburgh 2-12 now! Brian Reape on two goals at this stage.
