All the focus is on inter-county action right now but tonight’s the night for the draws for this year’s Senior, Intermediate and Junior club Championships.
The draws will be streamed live on Mayo GAA’s Facebook page and proceedings get underway at 8pm this evening.

Will be a very interesting draw tonight especially considering it’s open after the top 4. Personally thinking jt could be an absolute disaster for some clubs - a group of Ballina, Castlebar, Breffey and Ballagh is possible which would be deeply unfair in particular for Ballina.
A lot of talk that this new system is more fair, for the clubs that struggle to get out of the group but I don’t see how it’s fair for the clubs that get to the latter stages to be honest?
Like any sport, you can’t rely on a tournament structure to get you through a competition. You need to prove your worth and work your way up the seeding system overtime. Crossmolina proved with the right attitude, style of play and culture it is possible, and they were in a tricky group last year.
I really hope the draw doesn’t go completely lopsided or it will make for a brutal championship and risk top teams getting knocked out because a format had to be changed.
